Charlton Chambers a former member of the Brampton of the Track Club and member of the 1996 Olympic 4 x100M gold medal relay team, was inducteed into the 2008 Canadian Sports Hall of Fame.

OTTAWA - Athletics Canada announced today the three finalists for Athletics Canada's 2008 Awards. The finalists and winners are chosen by Athletics Canada's awards committee and will be presented at the 2008 Athletics Canada Awards Gala on Saturday November 22 in Toronto.
The 2008 Youth Finalists for the Myrtle Cook Trophy best Youth Athlete of the year are:

Civic Rembrance Parade - Legion Branch 609

The Remembrance Day Parade will take place on Sunday November 9th.
All BTC members are asked to participate in the parade.
We are to meet at Bramalea City Centre (Team Canada Drive) at 10:00 AM.

Annual General Meeting (AGM)

The 2008 BTC AGM meeting will be held on Friday November 14th, 7:00PM at Loafers Lake Recreation Center, hall "A". All members are invited.
Indoor Training

Indoor training starts on October 27th. Mondays at Eanscliffe Senior Public School at 6:00PM, Tuesdays and Thursdays at York University at 5:00PM.

Phillip Hayle placed 8th in the 100M final at the Wolrd Youth Championships held in Pune India. Phillips times were 10.90 (H), 10.72 (Semi), 10.89(Final).
Phillip was also a member of the 4 x100M and 4 x 400M relay teams.
The 4 x100M relay team won a bronze medal in a time of 41.31 seconds.
The 4 x400M relay team placed 7th in a time of 3:22:24. Phillip ran the second leg in the 4 x 100M and was the lead runner on the 4 x 400M relay team.
Phillip must be congratulated for his performances especially after a long season and competing at a time when his race fitness was not up to his standard.

Brampton Track Club athlete's, Daniel Harper, Phillip Hayle, Simone Martin, Curtis Helmer-Peschier were selected to the ONTARIO / ESPOIR TEAMS.
Daniel Harper set new records in the 200M and 400M events at this recent Espoir / Ontario Games. Daniel won Gold medals in both the 200M and the 400M events, in a personal best time of 46.69 for the 400M and a time of 21.45 in the 200M.
Phillip Hayle competing against older athletes won a Silver medal in the 100M in a time of 10.57 and a bronze in the 200M in a time of 21.62. Brampton Track Club athletes placed 1st and 2nd in the 200M.
Simone Martin placed 5th in the 100M in a time of 12.32 and 4th in the 200M in a time of 25.04. Simone as a Youth athlete, competed well against senior level athletes.
Curtis Helmer-Peschier placed 9th overall in both the 100M (11.10), and the 200M (22.02) events.
The Bramton Track Club Athletes were also members of the Ontario 4 x100M, and 4 x 400M winning relay teams.
